                BAPTISM IN THE UNITING CHURCH IN AUSTRALIA

                                    BALLARAT PARISH MISSION

Services of Baptism for children or adults may be arranged by contact with the Minister or one of the Elders. A booklet with more detailed information is available by contacting  the Minister.

This material  is available to you if you are seeking information about Baptism enabling you to consider some of the implications of your request before you meet with the Minister and Elders of the Church.

 We hope that the material  may raise questions and give some further understanding of what baptism in all its richness means as well as clarify for you  what baptism in all its seriousness means.

 In this way you may then be able to choose what is right for you at this time of you and your child’s life’s circumstances.

 You may wish to continue to take the step of faith necessary to make the baptismal promises to God and proceed to your time of preparation for the service.

 You might conclude that you wish to enter into some other form of relationship with the Church at this time and explore the “Service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child.”
